James Vincent No. 04  —  The Studio
Colophon  ·  Volume IV  ·  Established 2011

Studio 4, Mount Street, Mayfair.

The physical address behind every bridal booking, editorial cover, and academy cohort since 2011.

Chapter I  —  The Studio

An editorial dossier on the rooms, the kit, and the kilometres behind the work.

Every commission — from a single bride to a London Fashion Week show — originates from the same private atelier on Mount Street. Below, the four points of reference any client, editor, or collaborator should know before the first conversation.

  1. 01

    The Address

Studio 4, 18 Mount Street, Mayfair, London W1K 2RN. A first-floor suite above a Mount Street townhouse, six minutes from Bond Street station and within walking distance of Claridge's, The Connaught, and Grosvenor Square — convenient for bridal previews, commercial fittings, and editorial shoot days held at nearby hotels and members' clubs.

By appointment only. The studio is not open for walk-in consultations.

  2. 02

    The Bridal Suite

A dedicated pre-ceremony room with a four-lit mirror wall (Hollywood-grade 5600K daylight balanced), a full-length fitting mirror, garment hanging for up to three outfit changes, and a private powder room. Heated in winter, climate-controlled in summer, and acoustically treated so that the calm of the morning is preserved while hair, makeup, and photography teams work in concert.

Capacity: the bride plus three seated artists, or bride plus one artist and four family members.

  3. 03

    The Product Library

A working archive of more than 480 SKUs kept in a climate-controlled library at 18 °C — foundation pigments matched against the studio's own 312-shade skin-tone swatch book, the 42-piece bespoke brush collection developed with Hakuhodo Japan (unavailable to retail), and full Charlotte Tilbury Bridal ambassador stock for on-location use. Every product is logged with batch and expiry; no decants, no shared testers, no compromise on hygiene between clients.

Allergen-sensitive requests (fragrance-free, gluten-free, vegan-only) are flagged at booking and prepared in advance.

  4. 04

    International Travel

Travel-ready for brides and editorial clients in 22 countries — UK, EU Schengen, USA, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Morocco, South Africa, the UAE, Oman, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and the Channel Islands. Two valid UK passports, full public liability and international professional indemnity insurance to £10 million, and a pre-cleared carnet for professional kit including the bespoke brushes and lighting rigs.

Average on-location arrival: 2 hours 15 minutes before the ceremony. Nine years, zero no-shows.
